COVID-19 Testing & Treatment at St. Catherine's Urgent and Primary Care

At St. Catherine's Urgent and Primary Care, we remain committed to supporting our community during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We offer comprehensive testing and treatment options to help manage the spread of the virus and ensure the health and safety of our patients.

Testing Process:

  1. Scheduling Your Test: Tests are available by appointment and can be scheduled through our website or over the phone. Walk-ins are also accepted during specific hours.
  2. During Your Visit: Upon arrival, follow the signs to our designated testing area, which is separate from other patient areas to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Sample Collection: A healthcare professional will collect a nasal or throat swab, depending on the test type.
  4. Results: Results for rapid tests are available within 15 minutes. PCR test results are typically available within 24-48 hours and can be accessed via our secure online portal.

COVID-19 Treatment Options

For those who test positive for COVID-19 and exhibit symptoms, St. Catherine’s offers the following treatment options based on the latest clinical guidelines:
  • Mild to Moderate Cases: Patients are usually advised to manage their symptoms at home. Our team provides guidelines on symptom management, hydration, and nutrition. Regular follow-ups via Telehealth or phone calls are conducted to monitor symptoms.
  • Prescription Medications: For eligible patients, antiviral medications can be prescribed to help reduce the severity and duration of the illness.
  • Monoclonal Antibody Treatments: For high-risk patients, monoclonal antibody treatments can be administered to prevent severe symptoms that might require hospitalization. This treatment is available based on current health regulations and patient eligibility.
  • Referral to Hospital Care: Patients with severe symptoms that cannot be safely managed at home will be referred to a hospital for advanced care.
